Pirated Softwares – Is it accepted?

April 21, 2008

We have heard a lot of news about internet cafes and even academes and companies that has been inspected for account in using pirated softwares. But, do we have laws or provisions here in our country in putting in account those who have violated by not purchasing premium softwares?

As far as I am concern, there are no strong information and communications technology laws implemented here in our country. In fact, ICT in the country is still moving towards global competitiveness and have not established various standards on how to implement it except maybe by following the global standards.

Is there really a strong campaign by most manufacturers like Microsoft Corp. about these kind of matters? Or is it part of their game plans to spread and advertise their products?

What only question relies on, Pirated Softwares – Is it accepted?
