Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (previously known as Madagascar 2) is the 2008 sequel to the 2005 film, Madagascar. It is in production by DreamWorks Animation and is scheduled to be released on November 7, 2008. The film will be distributed by Paramount Pictures. DreamWorks announced on their website that Madagascar will become a franchise similar to that of Shrek. It has been confirmed that the film will be about the animals starting the plane on Madagascar, and then landing on Africa, and meeting some of Alex’s family (a plot similar to that of Shrek 2).
